The Coffee Factory - Derry and Salem

Image
There is nothing like the smell of freshly roasted coffee, especially when you can also watch it happen! They receive the beans green from different continents, some organic, and roast them twice a week right behind the counter. The atmosphere is quintessential coffee shop with couches to relax in and local artwork on the walls. Stop in and work for a few hours, and then sit back and enjoy live music from local musicians at their open mic nights. They also have a smaller location in Salem that is just as charming. A Simply Wholesome Life - Windham

Image
This all natural and organic market has food (fresh, refrigerated and frozen) as well as snacks, and supplements, and cleaning and health and beauty products, and they are all good for you! I once went in looking for low-sodium options, and they researched their suppliers to bring in what I needed. They source locally as well, and we had the best holiday meal from meats and veggies all grown and processed in NH. Your pets can shop here too! It's a win-win situation to support a business that supports so many other local businesses, as well as keeping your health in mind. Beantowne Coffee House - Hampstead

Image
Have you ever been to the Best Coffee House in America? This place won that title on the Steve Harvey Show, so you have to stop in and see why! The coffee is great, and they make delicious food too. Check out their website for the breakfast and lunch menus, full of soups, sandwiches and smoothies. Also, if you want to support a small business that gives back, this is the place. During the pandemic, they have been delivering food to frontline workers through their Fuel the Frontline Program. Great people make great communities! Salon Bogar - Londonderry

Image
This salon is everything you could want in a salon! The atmosphere is relaxing, very clean and bright. The stylists are not only friendly, but also very talented. I love hearing about the seminars and trainings that my stylist recently went to, and it shows in the magic she creates with my hair. They also have great products, as well as a cute boutique to browse through before or after your appointment. They were established in 1990, and many stylists have been there for over a decade. Their social media is on point, so check them out! Windhaven Farm - Raymond

Image
A huge portion of my life was spent in the saddle. I started riding when I was 8 years old and continued through college, and then decided to take lessons many years later as an adult. That is when I discovered Windhaven Farm, and it is a great facility. The barn is welcoming, it has indoor and outdoor riding areas as well as trails, Linda is very knowledgeable, and the horses are extremely well cared for (which is most important to me). There are no social media links, so just give them a call and take a tour if you are looking for riding lessons, or a place to stable your horse, or for info on their summer camps. The horse lover in your family will love you for it! Address: 117 Chester Rd. Raymond, NH 03077 Phone: 603-895-0442 Photo from Google Maps

Summerwind Jewelers - Portsmouth

Image
This is another family-owned business that I had the pleasure of working for a number of years ago. They have been serving the seacoast area for over 45 years and dedicated to the town that gorgeous clock on the sidewalk just outside their door. The majority of custom design work and repairs are done right on the premises, and they are always hand-selecting new pieces and amazing gemstones from jewelry shows they attend all over the world. If you want to be surrounded by beauty, both man-made and natural, this is the place to go!
