Having a local resource for new and used books is essential! This independent book store is a great mix of both. It is very well organized and labelled, and I can literally spend hours there scanning the shelves. Among the newest bestsellers and great condition used books there are also puzzles, games, LPs, DVDs, CDs, and Audio Books. They were also very helpful, looking up a title I have been searching for and ordering the new release novel my oldest child wanted for Christmas! I recommend you check in here first before ordering any book online.

Charmingfare Farm - Candia

Ever been to a farm that is also a zoo? There is one in Candia! It is a real working farm (you can be a part of their Vegetable Share) as well as a zoo with more than just farm animals (camels, reindeer, wolves, bears, etc.). They have pony rides and wagon rides, and a really cute petting zoo. There are special holiday and seasonal events throughout the year, as well as the opportunity to have birthday parties and weddings on the farm. I went as a child, with my family and on school field trips, and I now bring my children there. It's always a really fun and memorable day!
