Professional Martial Arts Academy - Derry, Windham, Plaistow

I can't say enough great things about this martial arts studio! We first became acquainted with them 8 years ago when my oldest was having motor skill challenges and karate was a suggested sport for him. It has become an important resource and has benefited our family in more ways than just exercise. It is the complete package, with classes focusing on skills as well as life lesson in manners and safety, there really is no other sport that compares. They also offer training in Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. My husband and I took kick boxing classes, and I was never in better shape! The entire staff (and other parents and families) have always been supportive and friendly, in and out of the dojo. There are special events throughout the year for all ages, including parents night outs, vacation camps, and self defense classes. They have 3 locations in Rockingham County.

Charmingfare Farm - Candia

Ever been to a farm that is also a zoo? There is one in Candia! It is a real working farm (you can be a part of their Vegetable Share) as well as a zoo with more than just farm animals (camels, reindeer, wolves, bears, etc.). They have pony rides and wagon rides, and a really cute petting zoo. There are special holiday and seasonal events throughout the year, as well as the opportunity to have birthday parties and weddings on the farm. I went as a child, with my family and on school field trips, and I now bring my children there. It's always a really fun and memorable day! This restaurant is tucked inside a busy strip mall in Derry. I love Greek food, and this place has introduced me to so many new and delicious dishes! It has indoor and outdoor seating, as well as their new Taverna serving Greek wines and local brewey offerings.
